Since that time, other companies have tried to emulate our high quality product, but Hahn's remains the original and the best.
All Hahn's doors are custom doors. While the model numbers refer to the design characteristics of a door (number of lights, vertical or horizontal panels, etc.), we modify the proportions of the design to work aesthetically with the size requirements of the door. Nothing is pre-built and ready-to-ship.
OVERHEAD DOOR QUALITY FEATURES

• 2-3/4" Door Thickness ensures maximum strength and thermal efficiency
• Cypress internal core framework with oversized stiles and rails creates a strong foundation for exterior face lumber attachment
• Core is water-sealed with 1⁄4” Luan plywood laminated to both sides so no water penetrates and weep holes are not needed
• Exterior stiles and rail lumber:
- 1 1⁄4” thick, creating real shadow lines
- Fully laminated to core with Type I waterproof adhesive
- Horizontal planes sloped to shed water
- Over 200 screws attach face lumber to core for extreme durability and tightness
- Screws are Counter-bored and wood plugged
• Biscuit joinery wherever horizontal and vertical stiles and rails meet provides a tight joint that won’t open up with expansion and contraction
• Deep V-groove in center creates the illusion of a pair of doors
• Field area material fits between stile and rails preventing water infiltration
• True divided windows for authentic old-world construction and beauty
• Polystyrene insulation between panels for an R Value of 6

• Engineered Stile and Rails prevents expansion & contraction and ensures door won't warp
• 3/4" thick tempered insulated safety glass with low E coating protects interior from UV light and promotes thermal efficiency
• Epoxy adhesive used to ensure that all joinery is permanently bonded together
• True divided windows for authentic old-world construction and beauty
• Individual interior and exterior panels move independently with atmospheric conditions to prevent cracking
• Polystyrene insulation between panels for an R Value of 6
• 1 3⁄4” thick solid Mahogany threshold provides durability and solid foundation for weather-seal.
• Heavy duty 5" x 5" solid brass ball bearing hinges ensure smooth easy operation of door, precision contact with weather-seal and never rusts. Available in the finish of your choice.
