FAQ

Q: What is the difference between a tubular & mortise lock?
A: The tubular style lock is commonly found on all types of doors, like interior residential and office doors. It boasts excellent security for most applications and is usually pretty easy to install and replace if standard bore holes are already cut in the door. A mortise handleset is the most secure entry set around. A special cut in the door allows a longer and thicker mortise to slide into the pocket in the door itself for superior protection.
Q: Can I purchase a dummy lock?
A: Yes, a dummy lock can be purchased see pricing below.( A dummy handle is an optional handle used on the inactive door of a double door entry system if wanted.)
Q: What is a lifetime finish?
A: Subject to the terms and conditions of the Lifetime Limited Warranty, Baldwin warrants that all products with The Lifetime Finish from Baldwin shall be free from defects in material and workmanship from tarnishing, flaking, pitting, and discoloring for the lifetime of the applicable product as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the product.
