Growing up around sales and service in the overhead garage door industry, Hahn’s Woodworking Company President Scott Hahn acquired a great deal of knowledge about what is involved in the trade. Recalls Hahn, "My father had his own business, and I was probably out on a service truck when I was about twelve years old."

That 12-year-old grew up and went off to school to become an industrial education major at Kean College in Union, NJ , where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Hahn saw a need for the custom garage door market, and established the company in 1984.

Because of his exposure to the garage door business for so many years, he had the opportunity to see the original doors that had been installed in historic homes. "As a result of that observation," says Hahn, "I design doors that are aesthetically correct. The proportions of stiles and rails and windows to the overall look of the door feels right and looks right to the eye."

After many years in a 10,000 square foot manufacturing, office, and showroom facility in Roselle, NJ, in 2002 Hahn's Woodworking Company, Inc. moved to a larger facility located off Route 22 in Branchburg, NJ. The beautiful new facility features an expanded showroom and allows for greater product availability.
